We’re Hiring a Communications Coordinator!
Change is in the air at the ART HUB! As we prepare for a new season of vibrant programming, workshops, and artist features, the Peace River Art Club is looking for a creative, tech-savvy individual to join our team as our next Communications Coordinator.
This contract position (4 hours per week) is opening up as we prepare to say a fond farewell to our current coordinator, who is moving on from the role. We are incredibly grateful for their hard work in building up our digital footprint, and we are now looking for a motivated strategic thinker to take the reins and keep our momentum going!
What the Role Involves
If you love storytelling, community building, and the arts, this role is a perfect fit. Working with flexible hours and minimal supervision, our next Communications Coordinator will be the digital face and voice of the ART HUB.
Key responsibilities include:
Keeping our website (Squarespace) updated with the latest events, news, and features.
Designing eye-catching promotions on Canva and executing social media plans that share our key messages.
Putting a spotlight on our local artists, promoting our art programs, and driving engagement for HUB initiatives.
Acting as a direct liaison with local media, businesses, and community organizations to share our newsworthy updates.
Are You the Perfect Fit?
We are looking for someone with a solid grasp of marketing and communications best practices who is comfortable navigating different technologies. Because this role requires independent work, strong organizational skills, a valid driver’s license and personal transportation are required.
(Please note: A Vulnerable Sector Check will be required for the successful candidate).
How to Apply
If you are ready to help us implement our strategic communication goals and champion the arts in the Peace River region, we want to hear from you!
