COMMUNITY ARTS SUPPORT WORKER
(SUMMER STUDENT POSITION)

The Community Arts Support Worker will promote the arts at Art Hub and in the community. The Support Worker will primarily work on-site at Art Hub and assist the Arts Business Coordinator and Board of Directors with the daily operations of the Peace River Art Club.

Duties

  • Providing secretarial tasks in the office

  • Opening and closing Art Hub

  • Providing tours at Art Hub

  • Assisting in organizing classes and events at Art Hub and in the community

  • Assisting with events

  • Assisting instructors in classes

  • Instructing classes, if qualified

  • Working closely with the Communications Committee to assist with communications

  • Assisting with creating displays

  • Recording inventory

  • Attending committee meetings, if needed

  • Organizing spaces in Art Hub

  • Performing light cleaning

  • Communicating and networking with members and community, organizations, businesses, government agencies, and individuals

  • General duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Interest and talent in teaching and/or assisting with art classes

  • Interest and talent in organizing events and working on a team

  • Good organization and communication skills

  • Strong technology skills

  • Reliable and punctual

  • Must have own transportation

  • Can work with minimum supervision

  • Criminal and Vulnerable Sector Check

This position will begin from May to August 15, 2025.
