Thanks and a Shout Out
The Peace River Art Club is very appreciative of a generous donation from the Rotary Club to paint an historical mural on the side of the Fitness on the Go building. Historically, the building was the Hudson's Bay Company and present owner, Carmen Gauvreau, wanted something depicting the fur trade, the Hudson's Bay Company's two past buildings in town, 12' Ft. Davis as he was a well-known fur trader, wearing a plaid shirt to represent River Days, and a shout out to Fitness on the Go which will be done next spring. The art club contracted Elevate Murals, owners Lana and Elizabeth Vassallo, to do the mural. They, in turn, hired some of our trained youth mural artists to work on the mural with them. The Peace River Art Club is on a path to creating more murals around town and would encourage any business looking for a mural to contact us. Thank you to the Rotary Club for their years of dedication to the Peace River Community. Their organization will be missed in town.
