Call for Submissions: Edges and Spaces
Exhibition Dates: April – September 2026
Calling all painters, photographers, sculptors, and artisans! The Peace River ART HUB is thrilled to announce our upcoming main gallery exhibition: "Edges and Spaces." We are looking for diverse voices and unique perspectives to fill our walls for the Spring and Summer seasons. Whether you are a seasoned professional or an emerging artist, we want to see how you interpret the world through this lens.
Defining the Theme: What is "Edges and Spaces"?
The beauty of this theme lies in its versatility. We encourage you to push the boundaries of your medium. To us, "Edges and Spaces" might mean:
The Physical: The sharp line where the Peace River meets the shore, the silhouette of the hills against a sunset, or the architectural geometry of our town.
The Abstract: The "negative space" that gives a subject room to breathe, or the emotional "edge" between joy and longing.
The Tangible: A focus on textures, frayed borders, or the literal gaps between objects that tell a hidden story.
Whatever it means to you—bold and jagged or soft and expansive—we want to see it.
Important Dates & Deadlines
To ensure a smooth transition into our new season, please take note of the following schedule and gallery standards:
Submission Deadline: We are accepting new artwork from now until the last week of March.
* Gallery Prep: The main gallery will be closed during the last week of March for painting and setting up the new exhibition.
Exhibition Launch: The show will run from April through September.
Mandatory Hanging Requirements
To maintain the professional quality of our gallery and ensure the safety of your work, please adhere to the following:
All artwork must be ready to be hung. We will not accept artwork that has no hanging system or cannot be properly secured to a wall. Please ensure your pieces are equipped with stable wires, D-rings, or appropriate hardware before drop-off.
We can’t wait to see the "Edges and Spaces" you’ve captured. Let’s make this our most thought-provoking exhibition yet.
