An Evening of Storytelling: Dustin Dale Gaspard and Tanner Bingaman at the Art Hub

On May 13, the Home Routes concert series brings a unique collaboration to Peace River, featuring the bilingual roots of Dustin Dale Gaspard and the Appalachian-inspired folk of Tanner Bingaman.

Dustin Dale Gaspard: An Ambassador of Cajun Heritage

Dustin Dale Gaspard’s music is a commitment to the preservation and evolution of his Cajun culture. Performing in both English and French, Gaspard’s songwriting explores the history of his Acadian ancestors. His recent EP, Avec le Courant, blends these traditional influences with blues and Louisiana Swamp Pop.

Gaspard’s career highlights include being a three-time Grammy-considered artist and his 2025 milestone as the first self-represented Cajun artist on The Voice, where his Cajun French performance earned a four-chair turn. His approach remains focused on earnest, story-driven performances.

Tanner Bingaman: Appalachian Folk and Poetry

Tanner Bingaman is a songwriter, poet, and visual artist who performs under the moniker Tanner Bingaman’s Pretty Big Garden. His work is deeply informed by Appalachian traditions, utilizing the banjo, guitar, and harmonica to build narrative-driven soundscapes.

A two-time artist-in-residence at Avaloch Farm Music Institute, Bingaman was named Emerging Artist of the Year by the Susquehanna Folk Music Society. Following the 2024 release of his debut album Everything & Nothing, he is currently touring in support of his 2026 sophomore release, Jubilee!.
