If you’ve been waiting for a weekend beginner pottery series, this is it!
Friday class runs 6-9 pm and Saturday class is 9am to 12 noon. The 6th class will be scheduled when the firings are complete.
Learn wedging and wheel throwing basics. The goal of the beginner series is that the novice potter will centre clay successfully and pull a straight-walled cylinder. All instruction is focused on these skills.
The first 5 classes are for throwing and trimming. The 6th class is for glazing the fired pieces. The registration fee includes equipment and tool use, clay, firings and glazes for 3 finished pieces. Additional clay may be purchased at the class. Additional projects will be subject to additional cost.
This is a 6 session class, with 18 hours of instruction and work time, (a great deal)! You will achieve a firm foundation for your wheel throwing journey ahead.
