The Mural Project

The Peace River Art Club were thrilled to host Dave Thomas from Flying Colours Mural and Design (the genius behind iconic murals like Athabasca Hall, The Balloon Man, and the Styleryte Cleaners artwork!) on May 31 and June 1. Over two days, Dave trained a talented a cohort of seven local artists in the art of outdoor mural painting. Artists learned invaluable techniques for creating high-quality murals right on the Peace River ART HUB building.

They gained so much knowledge, and we're excited that Dave has committed to ongoing mentorship, even helping them with marketing themselves and sending potential work their way! This training is a game-changer for our community. Now, we have skilled mural artists who can bring vibrant life and color to the ART HUB and other areas around Town. Plus, these newly trained artists will pay it forward by training even more local artists during Culture Days in September, ensuring a continuous burst of creativity across Peace River!
