Opening Reception and Art Exhibition: The Art of the Everyday

The Peace River Art Club warmly invites you to attend the opening reception of our newest ART HUB feature gallery, "The Art of the Everyday," a special exhibition dedicated to the memory of our dear friend and fellow artist, Dan Wheeler.

Please join us on May 14 from 7-9 p.m. at the ART HUB, in Peace River.

About Dan Wheeler

Dan Wheeler was a passionate outdoorsman, adventurer, and animal lover who found joy in skiing, mountain climbing, camping and hiking with family and friends. He enjoyed volunteer fire fighting, keeping people safe through his work at Mercer, and fostering and finding homes for furry canine friends.

Dan was an integral part of the Peace River Art Club from 2008 until his passing on December 14, 2024. During that time, he generously served in numerous roles, including President, Vice President, and Director. He was a talented photographer and videographer, a reliable handyman, a constant source of encouragement, a meticulous organizer, a skilled exhibit hanger, and most importantly, a beloved friend and fellow artist to us all.

In his retirement, Dan established At Peace Media, located right here in the ART HUB, offering large-scale image printing and video services and enriching our community with his creativity.

As a photographer, Dan possessed a remarkable knack for seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary, and this exhibition, "The Art of the Everyday," is a heartfelt dedication to his artistic spirit and the way he viewed the world around him.

We hope you will join us to celebrate Dan's life and artistic contributions and to experience the beautiful works in "The Art of the Everyday."
